Weir chases second Helsinki win

Britain's David Weir will bid for a second gold in Sunday's 200m wheelchair demonstration race at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki.

Weir claimed victory in the 100m race a week ago, although the event is not counted in the official medals table.

The Briton will again come up against Dutchman Kenny van Weeghel and home favourite Leo-Pekka Tahti, who finished second and third over 100m.

Canada's Jeff Adams could also provide a stiff challenge for Weir.

Although better known as a distance racer, Adams clocked an impressive 25.37 seconds for the distance earlier this year in a race in America.

He was also second in the demonstration races over 1500m at the last two world championships in Paris and Edmonton.
